Our water rocket with a dynamic launcher competed in the National Student Space Challenge 2019 competition at IIT Kharagpur. We were selected as one of the finalists at the Lift OFF competition.

Green Rectangles Photo Landscape Archite


India is a global agricultural powerhouse. The transfer of technology and knowledge to farmers is vital for a developing country like India. Our project is aimed at providing an automated solution for aerial survey of the land and spraying pesticide.

All work and no play make us a dull team.

  • Dinner Time Discussions 

    Dinner time Discussions was a series of Live Stream Sessions with individuals around the Globe, to share their story and inspire everyone to move forward in the pandemic together.  It was a lockdown initiative of The Vimana. Speakers from different industries, interacted directly with students to share their knowledge,experience and solutions to some important issues of our society.

  • Hult Prize - On Campus Round

    The Vimana conducted the Hult Prize On-Campus at PES University on 19th of October and an On campus round for VTU on 18th January 2020. 30 best teams were selected to pitch their ideas , 6 teams competed in the finals, and one team was given a ticket to the Regionals level !

  • Robotic Arm workshop-IEEE

    The Vimana conducted another Peer to Peer workshop in association with IEEE RAS (Robotic Automation Society) on 5th Feb 2020 in the South campus of PES University.Students got an opportunity to develop a robotic arm based on Arduino microcontroller. . Arduino IDE with servos and robotic arm components were used to develop the robot.

    abroad vs India

    We conducted our first ever Peer-to-Peer Knowledge Sharing Session on Tuesday, January 14th.

    Spending her time as a transfer student at the University of Wisconsin - Madison, Komala Chenna, Co-Founder of The Vimana, addressed the aerospace students of RVCE about the academic life in India vs US. She gave insights regarding the true differences and similarities in all aspects of the student life.

    One of the main goals of The Vimana is to connect students to industries and start-ups and exposure to non technical projects too!

    The Vimana in association with a Start-up company ,Refboxit provided internship opportunities to students in the field of Market Research about the changing trends in different industries due to COVID-19 Outbreak. 

  • Aero confer

    season 1- 2019

    In coordination with Airytails, The Vimana conducted its first Industry professional-peer interactive session ,the AERO Confer Season 1 throughout the Top 5 colleges in Bangalore which are RV College of Engineering, BMS college of engineering, PES university, New Horizon College of Engineering and MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology.

  • do you know arduino?

    Peer to Peer learning has interested many students across different colleges so we took the next step and conducted a One day beginner level workshop that provided a basic knowledge of Arduino and involved mini projects to provide hands-on training as well. Students were provided with an Arduino Kit for the hands-on session.

    Being the  first  Peer to Peer workshop at The Vimana, Arduino masterclass was a 5 day Free Bootcamp that was conducted at PES University. By attending this workshop a student could improve from a beginner level to an intermediate level in the field of Arduino. It was a rigorous training session that began from basic programming to mini-projects, and major projects
